Maryanne Lewis is invested in Scituate as a longtime homeowner with over thirty years of experience in the public and private sectors. She’s ready on Day One to hit the ground running and navigate the issues facing our community and are important to our way of life
Meet Maryanne
Attorney Maryanne Lewis has lifelong roots in Scituate, starting in 1938, when her grandfather Edmo Gilbert built a home on Stone Avenue. Three generations of the Lewis family grew up learning to swim, boat, and enjoy beach days in Scituate.
In 2000, Maryanne bought her own home on Lighthouse Road and understands firsthand the importance of coastal resiliency. She is a proud member of the Cedar Point Association, Scituate Beach Association and Scituate Harbor Yacht Club.
Professionally, Maryanne has over thirty years of public and private sector experience. After graduating from Catholic University School of Law, she served as an Assistant District Attorney, where she prosecuted over 1000 criminal cases. In 1994, Maryanne was elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
Throughout her tenure, she was named legislator of the year by the Massachusetts Police Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, and the Massachusetts Child Care Association. Maryanne has been a practicing attorney in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar Association for over 35 years.
Maryanne is running for the Scituate Select Board to continue her commitment to public service. Her educational background and professional experience will contribute meaningfully to the board. She will work hard to ensure coastal resiliency, protect the economic fabric of our community, and work with officials to secure state and federal funds for Scituate.
